PICO2000© Applications - Vanguard Alert Service

The Vanguard Alert Service provides a very flexible way of providing multi-level monitoring services to an array of PICO2000 servers.

A single Vanguard monitoring station can receive alarm information from up to 100 servers. These alarms may be dealt with at the first level or filtered and then passed on to another level monitoring station to respond to.

The alerts sent from the PICO2000 servers includes the following:

The monitoring station will receive server, camera and time information with each alert.

The diagram above shows a simple Vanguard setup where a single monitoring station receives alerts from up to 100 PICO2000 servers. The operator can group the servers together at the monitoring station for convenient management.

The diagram below shows how Vanguard can be expanded into a multi-level monitoring system.

Alerts from the first level PICO2000 servers are received by the respective second-level monitors. These second-level monitors can filter alerts and send the more serious ones to the third level response station.

The third level response station can monitor up to 100 second-level monitoring stations.

Second level monitoring stations can be configured to automatically relay certain types of alerts to the response station. They can also send special alerts by using a 'panic' button.

The Vanguard system can be expanded to an unlimited number of levels which makes the Vanguard system just as suitable for small monitoring stations as for large, multi layered monitoring solutions.
